New Contract: French Navy Nuclear Barracuda Submarines

UK-based specialist designers and manufacturers of high quality marine navigation equipment, Marine Data Systems has been awarded a contract with the major French shipbuilder DCNS

 

The contract is for the design and build of special Bearing Repeaters for the Barracuda Submarine Programme which is scheduled to replace the Rubis class of nuclear-powered attack submarines (SNA) with six next-generation submarines. This will provide the French Navy with a powerful asset for the control of maritime areas and the projection of naval power.
