The Simrad AR80 Analogue Repeater provides precise vessel heading display from a connected gyroscope, offering an accuracy of ±0.1°. The dual dial features an outer scale marked every 1° and an inner scale marked every 0.1°, with high-contrast white-on-black numbering every 10° for easy readability. Integrated illumination ensures clear visibility in all lighting conditions, with brightness adjustable via a rotary control below the display.

Designed for seamless integration, the AR80 Analogue Repeater receives serial data (RS422) and operates on 24VDC. A 15-pin D-type connector provides dedicated pins for power and serial data. The repeater recognizes NMEA 0183 heading sentences (HDT, HDG, HDM) in priority order, ensuring compatibility with a range of navigational systems.

For flexible installation, the repeater supports panel mounting or bracket mounting (optional). It should be positioned for optimal user accessibility while considering environmental protection, temperature range, and cable length. The unit is not suitable for areas with heavy vibrations.
